Adam Lindemann is best known as a taste-maker in collecting and investing in contemporary art and classic cars. He founded Venus Over Manhattan, the influential gallery devoted to iconoclastic exhibitions of art and cars. Lindemann has been active in the car collecting and classic racing and Motorsport world. He has competed multiple times at Le Mans Classique, the Goodwood Revival, the Monaco Historics, the Spa 6 hours as well as races in the US including the Daytona classic, the Sebring classic and the Rolex Historics at Monterrey. He was the first guarantor of race cars at auction in the industry, including the 20M guarantee of the Le Mans winning Jaguar D type and lightweight C type. He has raced pre-war Astons, lightweight E types, Shelby cobra coupes and his current race car, a Coyote Corvette Daytona Prototype. He has also enjoyed rallies like the Mille Miglia, Cento Ore and enjoys collecting and riding vintage motorcycles.
Lindemann has been a featured commentator on several documentaries and interviews related to collecting and authored two best-selling books on collecting for Taschen.
He formally served as Vice Chairman of the Board at Southern Union Gas prior to its merger with Energy Transfer Partners.
He was active in the radio broadcasting industry and bought and sold twenty-one radio stations after having served as SVP on the arbitrage desk of Oppenheimer & Co.
He is a graduate of the Yale Law School (J.D.), Amherst College (B.A. magna cum laude) and passed the French Baccalaureate after attending the Lycée Français de New York.
