LINE Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Takeshi Idezawa; hereinafter "LINE") and Yahoo Japan Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director, CEO: Kentaro Kawabe; hereinafter "Yahoo! JAPAN") today announce the collaboration between LINE GIFT (Japanese only), a service provided by LINE where users can send a wide variety of gifts to their friends using the LINE app, and the online shopping malls operated by Yahoo! JAPAN, Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping and PayPay Mall. Through this initiative, products and inventories of all three platforms will be linked.

LINE GIFT, provided by LINE, is a communication service that lets users send gifts to their friends through LINE chat. With LINE GIFT, users can easily send gifts without having to input a postal address or meet in person for all kinds of occasions, whether it be to send a small thank you gift, or to mark a seasonal event or a major life event. LINE has seen a surge of popularity in LINE GIFT during the COVID-19 pandemic, as users send gifts to loved ones who they cannot meet with in person. As a result, LINE GIFT recorded over 15 million users* as of May 2021.

Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping operated by Yahoo! JAPAN is one of the largest online shopping malls in Japan. Its lineup includes a wide range of products from popular home appliances to groceries, daily necessities, and gift items. PayPay Mall, a premium online shopping mall with carefully selected stores provide users with a superior shopping experience. Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping and PayPay Mall together handle approximately more than 400 million pieces of items, and have the largest selection of products in the Japanese e-commerce market.

From August 2021, LINE GIFT and Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping have started to cooperate on sales activities for the existing and prospective merchants, etc., and have supported merchants of Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping and PayPay Mall to participate in LINE GIFT. Now, the three platforms are newly linked in terms of the products to be listed and the product inventory. Through this collaboration, merchants of Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping and PayPay Mall will be able to register their products and inventories in LINE GIFT by making a product listing setting in Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping. As a result, the product lineup of LINE GIFT will be enhanced.*

As one of the new communication services, LINE GIFT will continue to support users at important moments of communication, such as gift-giving. By strengthening the collaboration between the e-commerce services of LINE and Yahoo! JAPAN, the two companies will aim to enhance the product lineup of LINE GIFT and improve convenience for as many users as possible.
