Zarneni hrani Bulgaria AD Sofia is a Bulgaria-based agribusiness company, operating in all the stages of the farmer-user chain on the territory of Bulgaria and Romania. The Company participates in three different markets: grain, foodstuffs, and biofuels. Zarneni hrani Bulgaria AD is engaged in providing services to farmers, distribution of fertilizers and chemicals, and storage of and trade in grains and oilseeds. It also manufactures and distributes its own brand of bottled sunflower under the name Slunchevi Luchi. Since March 2008, the Company has also been engaged in the biodiesel production. Zarneni hrani Bulgaria AD Sofia operates through two subsidiaries: Slunchevi luchi Provadiya EAD and Port Balchik Provadiya AD. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s major shareholder was Himimport Group EAD with a stake of 57.78%.
