Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited have approved the appointment of Divya Karani as an independent director and Saurav Adhikari as a non-executive director on the company?s board. The approval was secured through a remote e-voting postal ballot process that ended on 8 July 2025. Karani brings experience in media and advertising, focusing on advertisement revenue, while Adhikari brings expertise in operations and investments as a technology advisor.
Karani has over 30 years of experience leading advertising and media agencies in India, South Asia, the UK and Asia Pacific. She was CEO of Dentsu Media, South Asia, for 12 years. She is currently chairperson and executive director of Kulfi Collective, a media network that works across content, commerce and culture.
Adhikari has over 30 years of experience in technology, FMCG and consumer durables, with expertise in operations, management and investments. He has held senior leadership roles at HCL, Unilever and PepsiCo. He is currently founder and senior Partner at Indus Tech Edge Fund I, which focuses on globalising India?s technology ecosystem.
He also advises and invests in AI-based fintech, healthcare, analytics, IoT and logistics firms.
