The Board of Directors of China Jinjiang Environment Holding Company Limited announced that the Group has successfully tendered for and secured a concession from the relevant local government to construct, own and operate a waste-to-energy (WTE) facility (the Leting WTE Project) located in Leting County, Hebei Province. Under the terms of the concession, the Group will construct, own and operate the Leting WTE Project under the build-own-operate model for a total concession period of 30 years from the date of commencement of construction, which includes an operation period of 28 years from the date of commencement of commercial operation. The Leting WTE Project has a total designed waste treatment capacity of 450 tons per day for municipal solid waste, 100 tons per day for other types of solid waste and 60 tons per day for sewage. The Leting WTE Project has an estimated total investment cost of approximately RMB 330.1 million (equivalent to approximately SGD 65.5 million), and construction is expected to be completed in end 2020. The investment in the Leting WTE Project will be funded through a combination of bank borrowings and internal resources and the Leting WTE Project is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings per share or net tangible assets per share of the Group for the current financial year ending 31 December 2018. The Board will make the appropriate announcement upon the incorporation by the Group of the project company which will own and operate the Leting Project.
