Zoom Reaches Three Key Milestones Across Healthcare

We're proud to announce that we've reached three key milestones across the health sector, with Zoom now DTAC and DCB0129: Clinical Risk Management ready and with a Data Security and Protection toolkit in place, giving healthcare organisations the confidence they need to make full use of our platform.
These milestones cement our commitment to helping the UK's National Health Service (NHS) achieve its priorities to significantly increase the number of people it can diagnose, treat and care for, while reducing inequalities in access, including through use of video consultations. We also want to support the NHS as it transforms its services to deliver better care at home, create more virtual wards, and tackle COVID-19 backlogs.
The use of Zoom across the NHS has grown significantly over the last two years and we've seen NHS organisations enhance their delivery of care and patient outcomes by introducing virtual Zoom consultations and integrating it seamlessly with their electronic patient record (EPR) system. As the pace of innovation in telehealth continues to grow, we look forward to partnering with the NHS as it adopts new models of care that embrace the full potential of digital technologies - achieving a core level of digitisation across every service.
NHS accreditations
Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC): The DTAC gives staff and patients confidence that the digital health tools they use meet clinical safety, data protection, technical security, interoperability, usability and accessibility standards. Healthcare organisations can use it to assess suppliers at the point of procurement to make sure new digital technologies meet minimum baseline standards.
DCB0129: Clinical Risk Management: its Application in the Manufacture of Health IT Systems: The DCB0129 standard enables manufacturers of health IT software to demonstrate the clinical safety of their products and provides a set of requirements suitably structured to ensure the effective application of clinical risk management.
Data Security and Protection (DSP) Toolkit: We now have a DSP Toolkit in place, an online self-assessment tool that allows organisations to measure their performance against the National Data Guardian's 10 data security standards. All organisations that have access to NHS patient data and systems must use this toolkit to provide assurance that they are practising good data security and that personal information is handled correctly.
The standards that Zoom now meets are important as they provide NHS staff and patients with the confidence that the digital health tools they are using meet stringent clinical safety, data protection, technical security, interoperability, usability and accessibility standards set out by the NHS.
