NEW YORK, May 17 (Reuters) - A 25-year-old Bank of America credit trader, Adnan Deumic, died while playing in an industry-organized charity soccer tournament in London on Thursday, the bank said on Friday.

"The death of our teammate is a tragedy, and we are shocked by the sudden loss of a popular, young colleague," the company said in a statement. "We are committed to providing our full support to Adnan's family, his friends and to our many employees grieving his loss."

Reuters was not immediately able to reach Deumic's family.

Bank of America's trading division accounts for about 23% of its revenue. A junior BofA investment banker, Leo Lukenas III, based in New York, died from a blood clot earlier this month.
