Stockland : awards $80000 to Queensland community programs with 2020 CARE Grants

Stockland has announced the recipients of its 2020 CARE Grants, awarding $276,000 in grants to 266 local organisations, groups and programs across Australia.

In Queensland, Stockland has awarded $80,000 in grants to 80 local community organisations.

Amy Hogan, National Manager of Group Sustainability at Stockland, said: 'Stockland is proud to once again lend a hand to hundreds of community programs across Australia with its 2020 CARE Grants program.

'We're pleased to award $1,000 grants to 80 local Queensland organisations - from the Gold Coast to as far north as Cairns - which amounts to $80,000 of funding for the state. Each recipient plays an important role in supporting health, wellbeing, community connection, education or local environmental initiatives.

'We recognise the important contributions that these groups make to their communities every single day, and will continue to support local organisations whose great work, dedication and commitment are an essential part of helping any community to thrive.'

The Stockland CARE Grants program, now in its seventh year, has distributed over $1.7 million in funding to more than 1,500 local community groups nationally.

Earlier this year, Stockland also pledged a donation of $500,000 to organisations including the Foundation for Regional and Rural Renewal (FRRR) and other organisations supporting the relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts of the Australian bushfires.

Stockland CARE Grants is an annual program run throughout communities located near a Stockland Retail, Residential or Retirement Living community, and provides local organisations with funding support to help them establish more cohesive, inclusive and engaging community programs and initiatives.
