ESG responsible investing has become a prominent market subject and is becoming increasingly important to international institutional investors. The FTSE4Good Index Series is compiled by FTSE Russell since July 2001. In recent years, with the vigorous development of the field of socially responsible investment in international financial markets, the FTSE4Good Emerging Index constituent stocks were launched in November 2016. The index strictly reviews ESG standards and is widely used by market participants. Only companies with outstanding performance can be selected. The current membership includes 544 companies from around the world with a combined market value of US$2.45 trillion, of which 79 companies from Taiwan were selected.

As a leading brand in the industry, Yuanta FHC has been repeatedly recognized for its corporate social responsibility and ESG practices under the development strategy of 'solidification of cores and driving of growth.' In Taiwan, the company has been included in the FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index by FTSE Russell for six times and has been ranked among the top 5% of listed companies in the Taiwan Stock Exchange's Corporate Governance Assessment for five times. Internationally, Yuanta FHC in 2019 was selected into the Dow Jones Sustainability Index-World and Dow Jones Sustainability Index-Emerging Markets' constituent stocks. In the environmental category for which Yuanta FHC scored the highest in this assessment, it has also been rated by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) as A- Leadership Band Score for two years in a row in Climate Data Transparency and Action against Climate Change, placing among the world's top companies and delivering the best result in Taiwan's financial industry.

With the vision of becoming an 'international sustainable benchmark enterprise for sustainability,' Yuanta FHC will continue to promote internal optimization and lead in the framework and content of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) based on the three management directions of environment, society and corporate governance, and respond to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with concrete action plans. By using the keywords D (Devotion), R (Reliability), E (Quality), A (Achievement), and M (Motivation) of 'Fulfilling Your Biggest Dream' as the starting point, Yuanta and all its stakeholders will together shoulder the responsibility of corporate citizenship and exert positive influence.
