Alstom announces that its Coradia iLint, billed as 'the first hydrogen-powered train in service in America', has been named a finalist in Fast Company's World Changing Ideas 2024 list of 'ambitious projects that help shape the world'.

Alstom points out that the Coradia iLint carried more than 10,000 passengers during a demonstration project in Quebec from June to September 2023, saving 8,400 liters of diesel and avoiding 22 tons of CO2 emissions.

Powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, the Coradia iLint emits only water and uses green hydrogen produced from renewable resources.
