Atria plans measures to improve competitiveness and performance in Sweden
15.11.2023 15:30
Atria Sweden is planning an efficiency program in order to achieve the goals defined in the business strategy and to improve its competitiveness and performance in a changed operating environment.High raw material costs, increased inflation and a weak Swedish Krona have led to changed consumption patterns and tough price negotiations with the trade.
This means that Atria plans layoffs of approximately 35 employees in Sweden. Union negotiations will now be initiated and include all white-collar employees in Atria Sweden.
- We have defined improving the efficiency and agility of operations as our strategic goal. Through this, we seek better financial results and profitable growth in Sweden in the coming years. It is of course sad to have to give this message of layoffs to our employees, but we need to build an efficient and competitive organization to secure Atria Sweden's future, says Jarmo Lindholm, EVP at Atria Sweden.
The efficiency improvement will lead to annual savings of approximately EUR 2.5 million which would start to materialize during Q2 2024, with full effect beginning of 2025.
