BEESFREE, Inc. announced the appointment of Dr. Andrea Festuccia, former external expert to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr. Festuccia has over 15 years of international engineering experience, including in renewable energies and environmental management. In addition to his role as non-executive Chairman of the Board at BeesFree, Dr. Festuccia currently serves as Senior Manager of Altran Italia SpA, External Expert for the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University 'La Sapienza' of Rome, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Opt Sensor srl.

The Company is focused on developing solutions for the global beekeeping community. The Company has developed a composite nutritional food supplement for honeybees, BeesVita Plus, it prevents the effects of colony collapse disorder (CCD). The Company has also developed the Beespenser, an automated external honey bee feeding system used to deliver BeesVita Plus. The Beespenser operates using batteries and is rechargeable by a small solar panel and is virtually maintenance free, requiring approximately 15 minutes of service time every month in order to provide BeesVita Plus from a minimum of 10 bee colonies and up to a maximum of 100 bee colonies.
