Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE) Managing Director Shaun Bunn speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London after releasing another new update on the titanium discovery at the exploration and resource development company's Pitfield Copper Project.
Bunn takes the opportunity to reveal new details about the scale of the titanium discovery at Pitfield after carrying out some analysis that shows that "whatever brought up this mineralisation... extend[s] at least six kilometres into the basin."
He says that the mineral assemblage that Empire Metals has been investigating is dominated by titanium-bearing ilmenite and hematite - a mix that that Rio Tinto has been processing in Quebec for seventy years. Bunn emphasises the potential for Empire Metals to become a major titanium producer, standing out as a distinct player in the industry due to their unique soft rock, sedimentary basin deposit. The company plans to conduct further drilling and sampling to better understand the discovery and its potential.
