Polish energy market regulator (URE) has imposed a total of PLN 254.4 million (EUR 59 million) in penalties on the listed power utility Energa. The company announced that "cash penalties result in the necessity to create a provision in the financial statements for 2023, which will translate directly into a decrease in the consolidated EBITDA. At the same time, the Energa informs that the decisions of the URE are not final or legally binding, and the company will appeal against them.
