The FCC Group's turnover in the first quarter of this year came to €2,185.6 million, up 7.8% on the same period of 2023. This improvement is down to an increase in activity across all business lines, most notably the Water segment, following its entry into the US market, as well as Construction, following the start-up of the new projects awarded in 2023.
Gross operating profit (EBITDA) climbed to €355.4 million in the first quarter, up 7% on the same period in 2023, driven by the strong performance of the FCC Group's various business areas.
For its part, the attributable net result has grown by 7.9% to reach €104.6 million.
Equity at the end of the first quarter amounted to €6,219.7 million, 1.2% more than in the same period of the previous year.
The Group's backlog came to €43,459.1 million at the end of March, up 4.4% on the same period in 2023, due to the integral water cycle activity of the Water division and the new contracts secured by the Environment division.
