FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation plans to promote Executive Vice President Shigehiro Nakajima to president on June 28, 2012. Nakajima, 63, will replace Shigetaka Komori, 72, who has served as president for 12 years and will become chairman while retaining the right to represent the company. After assuming the presidency in June 2000, Komori enhanced business operations for digital cameras, liquid crystal display protection film, drugs and medical equipment to help offset a sharp fall in photo film sales. He has also served as chairman of the board of directors at Japan Broadcasting Corp.
