Udaipur, 13th July, 2022 - Hindustan Zinc, India's only and the world's second-largest integrated zinc-lead-silver producer was awarded the prestigious '5 Star Rated Award' by the Indian Bureau of Mines under the aegis of Ministry of Mines. As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of Mines organized the 6th National Conclave on Mines and Minerals on 12th July 2022 in New Delhi.

Hindustan Zinc's Kayad lead & Zinc Mine received the prestigious 5-star Rating Award for its exemplary performance in the implementation of sustainable development framework during 2020-21 assessed under five-star rating system.

The Award was received by Mr. K.C Meena, SBU Director, Kayad Mine and Mr. Vijendra Kashyap, Head Geology; Kayad Mine in the presence of Honorable Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, Shri Prahlad Jhoshi, Union Minister of Mines, coal and Parliamentary affairs, Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, Minister of State for Mines, coal and Railways and other dignitaries from ministry.
