Imerys announces the publication of its climate transition plan, approved by the Board of Directors, outlining how the specialty minerals group will meet its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets.

As a reminder, the plan aims to achieve a 42% reduction (tCO2 eq) in absolute terms by 2030 compared with 2021 for scopes 1 and 2. For scope 3, Imerys' ambition is to reduce GHG emissions in absolute terms by 25% within the same timeframe.

The plan details the levers that will be activated to achieve these objectives, including improving energy efficiency, replacing fossil fuels with natural gas and biomass, and sourcing low-carbon and renewable electricity.
