Interparfums' sales growth slowed in the 3rd quarter, reflecting the slowdown in consumer spending.
The designer of licensed fragrances reported sales of 214.6 million euros on Tuesday, in line with expectations and up 10% at current exchange rates and 18% at constant exchange rates.
The group, which did not record any major launches during the period, reported that Coach sales climbed 24% to 53.8 million euros, thanks to the success of its women's and men's lines.
Montblanc, its second-largest brand behind Jimmy Choo, reported quarterly sales up 12% to 54.7 million euros.
In the first nine months of the year, Interparfums reported sales up 19% to 610 million euros, in line with its annual target of 800 million euros.
However, CEO Philipe Benacin points out that over the summer, the strong growth momentum that had been driving the group's business since the end of 2021 slowed down, prompting the company to remain cautious for the coming quarters.
Following this publication, Interparfums shares listed on the Paris stock exchange lost almost 3% in early trading on Tuesday. It is now down 7.5% since the start of the year.
