(Alliance News) - Intred Spa announced Tuesday that it has signed a multi-year framework agreement with Vodafone Italia for the provision under IRU - Indefeasible Right of Use, exclusive right of use - of fiber-optic network sections owned by Intred.

The value of the first supply lot, the company points out, is more than EUR3 million.

"The strategic agreement is part of the broader collaboration between Intred and leading operators in the sector, for the use of existing infrastructure for the development of synergies in the use of networks, so as to increasingly enhance infrastructure investments in the territory," the note reads.

This operation aims to connect Vodafone's mobile network towers in Lombardy. "This agreement is of particular importance as it allows us to maximize the value of the considerable infrastructure investments we have made in recent years," commented Daniele Peli, Co-Founder and CEO of Intred. "This partnership marks a significant step towards closer cooperation with leading TLC operators and major players in the IT sector, all aimed at offering very high-speed fiber connections. It also represents a testament to the reliability of our infrastructure and the technical expertise of our team."

Intred trades in the green by 3.6 percent at EUR11.65 per share.
