Lefroy Exploration Limited (ASX: LEX) ('Lefroy' or 'the Company') announces the retirement of Nonexecutive Chairman Mr Gordon Galt effective 31 May 2024.

Since his appointment to the Board in 2010, Mr Galt has overseen the Company's transformation into a junior exploration Company in 2016 and the advance of its key projects in Western Australia and has assisted steering the Board through its recent strategic review with the aim to expanding and upgrading the Company's gold resources to mineable status. The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of existing independent Non-executive Director Mr David Kelly as the new Chairman following Mr Galt's retirement at the end of the month. Mr Kelly has been involved with the Company as independent Non-executive Chair of Lefroy's wholly owned subsidiary Hampton Metals Pty Ltd since July 2022 and was appointed to the Lefroy Board earlier this year on 1 January 2024. Mr Kelly is a highly qualified geologist and mining executive with extensive gold and nickel experience across the entire value chain from exploration to development. Mr Kelly has served in various senior executive roles in the resources sector for the last 30 years including as an investment banker and corporate advisor.

In addition, Mr Kelly has previously served as a director of ASX-listed companies Turaco Gold Limited, Predictive Discovery Limited, Ridge Resources Limited, Renaissance Minerals Limited and Pacific Ore Limited and is currently a Non-executive Director of Westgold Resources Ltd (ASX:WGX).
