Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) and SibCom Digital (part of the Bashkir Innovative Technologies [BIT] group of companies) signed a partnership agreement that outlines the main areas and principles of cooperation between the two companies in the field of import substitution for industrial software.

The partnership agreement was signed by Pavel Shilyaev, CEO of PJSC MMK, and CEO of SibCom Digital LLC Ilshat Shaikhutdinov.

After analysing the domestic industrial software market, MMK chose SibCom's CASCADE Digital platform as its basic platform for monitoring and dispatching technological data. A list of measures has been developed for creating CASCADE Digital competence centres on the basis of MMK-Informservice and United Service Company.

The CASCADE Digital platform is designed to solve the tasks of monitoring, control and dispatching, as well as data collection, storage and analysis across various industries and infrastructure facilities.

The CASCADE Digital software system is a flexible and efficiently customisable platform for building systems of different scales: from a single human-machine interface station to complex distributed systems with client-server architecture. Due to its flexible construction concept and high level of performance, the platform will replace the software of foreign vendors who have left the Russian market.

At present, MMK and SibCom Digital specialists, with the participation of architects and analysts from Digilab (part of the BIT group of companies), are jointly developing the concept of a unified platform on the level of MMK's Automated Production Management System that will be based on the CASCADE Digital system. The result of this work will be the architecture of MMK's unified platform for process monitoring, as well as unified approaches to data visualisation in the development of production process monitoring and dispatching systems.
