For the first quarter of 2024, Maisons du Monde posted sales down 9.5% to 247.7 million euros (-8.1% on a like-for-like basis and excluding the UK), 'as anticipated, notably due to the weak global consumer momentum'.

Online sales contracted by 8.2% to 71.4 million euros, despite strong growth in the marketplace (thanks in particular to Spain, Italy and Germany), while in-store sales fell by 10.1% to 176.3 million.

The retail group thus claims to be in line with the 2024-26 roadmap of its transformation plan, which calls for a gradual return to sales growth by 2025-26 and cumulative free cash flow in excess of 100 million euros within three years.
