Nestlé announces that it has achieved a net reduction of 13.5% in its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in 2023 compared with its 2018 baseline scenario, while continuing to grow its business over the same period.

The reduction in GHG emissions stems from programs and initiatives implemented in the three scopes 1, 2 and 3. This includes a reduction of over 15.3% in methane emissions.

The Swiss food group claims to have successfully decoupled its growth from its emissions, and is well on the way to achieving an absolute reduction of 20% in its GHG emissions by 2025. As a reminder, it is aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050.
