Nokia introduces a toolkit to strengthen the Corteca developer ecosystem and extend applications for home broadband devices

Nokia Corteca Developer Toolkit simplifies and accelerates the development of new applications for home broadband devices made available to operators via Nokia's Corteca Marketplace.

' The creation of new applications for home broadband devices enables service providers to generate new sources of revenue, enrich the user experience and increase the value of broadband offers' says the group.

Nokia is adding eleven new applications to its Corteca Marketplace, a cloud-based platform where service providers can browse, try out and install applications on Nokia broadband devices.

Dirk Verhagen, head of broadband devices at Nokia, said: 'The Corteca Developer Toolkit enables developers to quickly create, test and launch new service provider applications effortlessly. By combining this with Corteca Marketplace, service providers can now have a single place to quickly access a diverse set of value-added applications that help unlock new revenue opportunities and drive competitive differentiation.'
