German media company ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE (XTRA:PSM) has engaged advisors for the potential sale of its online businesses Verivox GmbH and Flaconi GmbH, which could fetch a combined price of about EUR 800 million (USD 868.8 million), Bloomberg reported on April 9, 2024. Reportedly, a sales process for the businesses could be initiated later in 2024. The news came soon after major shareholder Media For Europe (MFE) had called for the break-up of Prosiebensat.1, by the separation of the e-commerce and dating activities.

The proposals will be voted by shareholders at the annual general meeting on April 30. MFE, which currently holds nearly 30% of the German media company, believes the divestment of individual businesses may also be a way for Prosiebensat.1 to focus on core operations.
