Quadrise shares sink on discounted fundraise

Quadrise PLC - London-based clean energy technology provider - Completes fundraise for GBP1.5 million through the placing of 118.9 million shares and a subscription offer for a further 1.1 million shares. Both offers were conducted at an issue price of 1.25 pence per share, representing a 15% discount to the company's Thursday closing price of 1.47p. The company also announces an open offer for certain shareholder for 82.2 million shares at the same issue price, which it expects to raise an additional GBP1 million.

Current stock price: 1.24 pence per share, down 17% in London on Tuesday

Quadrise PLC is a United Kingdom-based energy technology provider. The Companyâs technologies produce transition fuels called MSAR (pronounced em-sar) and bioMSAR, which allow clients in the shipping, utilities and industrial sectors to reduce carbon emissions. Its MSAR technology produces a low viscosity oil-in-water emulsified synthetic heavy fuel oil (HFO). In addition, its MSAR technology pre-atomizes hydrocarbon droplets within the emulsion and makes them 10-20X finer than the droplets formed from atomizing HFO. It is working with global companies to jointly develop the capacity to produce, trade and consume MSAR and bioMSAR on a commercial scale. Its MSAR and bioMSAR are energy sources for a range of applications and sectors, within a global fuel and biofuel market of approximately 400 million tons per year. Its solutions deliver benefits across multiple fuel-intensive sectors. The shipping industry contributes 940 million tons of carbon dioxide each year.
