Siemens announced Tuesday that its Siemens Xcelerator digital enterprise platform will now be available on Microsoft Azure to meet growing customer demand.

The German industrial group says that Teamcenter, its product lifecycle management (PLM) software, will be the first to be offered on Microsoft's cloud service.

In a press release, Siemens points out that it has also added an AI plug-in derived from Copilot for Microsoft 365 within the new Teamcenter application it recently developed for the Teams collaborative tool.

This solution is intended to enable employees without access to PLM tools to benefit from summaries of existing workflows concerning their design and manufacturing processes.

Siemens and Microsoft point out that they have been collaborating together for 35 years.
