Téléverbier fell by more than 6% on the Paris Bourse on Wednesday following the publication of its results for the 2021/2022 financial year, which closed at the end of October.

The Swiss ski lift company said it had more than doubled its EBITDA to 30 million Swiss francs (30.2 million euros) over the past financial year, representing 45.1% of sales versus 25.2% in 2020/2021.

In its press release, the company points out that the 2021/2022 winter season was marked by favorable weather conditions and the return of foreign customers, compared to the previous winter which was heavily impacted by the health crisis.

As a result, sales for the 2021/2022 financial year came to CHF 66.4 million (CHF 66.9 million), up 39.9% on the previous year.

With regard to the start of the 2022/2023 financial year, Téléverbier notes that the winter season has got off to a 'very satisfactory' start, despite a dip in January.

The group explains that it intends to confirm this trend over the second half of its winter season, which will end on April 23, when the slopes close.
