Umicore is down 2% in Brussels after the Belgian industrial group published adjusted EPS of 1.86 euros for 2023, with adjusted EBITDA down 16% to 972 million, representing a margin of 25% on revenues down 7% to 3.9 billion.

"We have made considerable progress in reducing costs in operations, and we are further accelerating this process in 2024", emphasizes Mathias Miedreich, CEO of the materials and recycling technology specialist.

A gross annual dividend of 0.80 euro for 2023, with a balance of 0.55 euro to be paid in May, will be proposed to the AGM. Umicore expects its adjusted EBITDA for 2024 to be between €900 and €950 million.
