Profile
Prior to DFJ, Mr. Stingle served in the east coast software group of Battery Ventures, where he focused on sourcing and vetting new investments in early and growth-stage technology companies.
He has also worked in the New Products and New Products Licensing groups of Merck, evaluating the commercial feasibility of new licensing and acquisition candidates, and early-stage internal products.
Mr. Stingle participated as a field researcher in the first behavioral study of the Silky Sifaka (Propithecus candidus), in Marojejy National Park, Madagascar.
He began his investment career working under Bill Miller, manager of the Legg Mason Value Trust.
Mr. Stingle is a graduate of Harvard University, with a BA in Biology, and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
