Eaton will invest more than $30 million in expanding its U.S. manufacturing of medium-voltage switchgear and will open a new production facility in Bellevue, Nebraska.
The 370,000-square-foot facility will produce air-insulated and gas-insulated switchgear beginning in the first half of 2027.
The company will hire for more than 200 additional engineering, manufacturing and production roles.
Switchgear is used to protect, control and isolate electrical equipment in data centers and in utility and industrial power generation systems.
"With nearly 3,000 new data centers planned or under construction in the U.S., industrial and utility companies will face electrical power supply chain constraints," Eaton said.
