Defense contractor Saab has unveiled the new Bolide 2 missile for its RBS 70 NG air defense system. The new missile features a larger warhead and enhanced maneuverability compared to previous iterations, which the company claims significantly bolsters the system's capabilities.
The Bolide 2 utilizes a modular design for continuous upgrades and remains compatible with older generations of the RBS 70.
Deliveries are expected to commence in 2027, at which point the missile will become the standard ammunition for the RBS 70 NG. No financial details were disclosed.
