U.S. factory orders held steady in February, the Census Bureau said Friday, pointing to a lull in activity before the outbreak of war in Iran.

Orders from U.S. factories were unchanged in the month at $619.6 billion. A consensus of economists polled by The Wall Street Journal expected a 0.1% fall.

The report showed that shipments from factories increased 1.4%. Unfilled orders rose 0.1%, the report said.
