(Alliance News) - DP Poland PLC on Monday said its "high volume mentality" contributed to sales growth in the first quarter of 2024, increasing the company's confidence for the remainder of the year.

DP Poland is a Birmingham, England-based pizza delivery firm, which holds the franchise rights to the Domino's pizza brand in Poland and Croatia.

Total system sales in Poland reached PLN62.2 million, or GBP12.3 million, in the three months that ended March 31, up 17% from PLN53.1 million a year prior.

On a like-for-like basis, sales were up 18% in Poland to PLN60.8 million in the quarter.

"After almost two years since the adoption of a high volume mentality across all operations, we have transformed the Polish business into one of the fastest growing Domino's markets globally. Momentum in the business is very strong and we are in an excellent position to drive company expansion," DP Poland said.

In Croatia, sales were up 72% to EUR900,000, a 7.5% like-for-like increase to EUR500,000.

The encouraging trading performance following the opening of two Croatian stores in 2023 has increased the company's confidence in opening further stores in 2024, DP Poland said.

The company said it plans to publish its financial results for 2023 in early June, and they will be in line with market expectations.

Shares in DP Poland were up 4.3% at 11.37 pence each in London on Monday.
