Nokia: successful connectivity tests with Australian operator nbn
The Finnish equipment manufacturer says the success of these tests proves that Internet service providers can easily increase their capacities to cope with growing demand.
Today, operators can achieve data rates of up to 20Gb/s using 25G technology, but Nokia believes that 50G and 100G standards could quickly become the norm in view of customers' growing needs.
According to the group, 50G and 100G technologies could prove particularly suitable for enterprise applications, but also linked to the digital city ('smart city') or so-called industry 4.0.
