(Alliance News) - Piazza Affari closed Monday's session in green, the only European to end on a positive note, as traders await key data on U.S. inflation, first-quarter GDP and euro-area employment data to be released this week.

Thus, the FTSE Mib closed in the green 0.5 percent to 34,815.91, the Mid-Cap rose 0.1 percent to 47,832.63, the Small-Cap gained 0.5 percent to 29,467.87, while Italy Growth closed in the red 0.3 percent to 8,231.60.

In Europe, Paris' CAC 40 closed 0.1 percent in the red, London's FTSE 100 fractionally in the red, while Frankfurt's DAX 40 ended 0.2 percent lower.

On the Mib, DiaSorin closes up 2.9 percent after the release of its accounts. The company reported Friday that it reported first-quarter net income of EUR46.0 million, up from EUR42.0 million in the same period of 2023, and adjusted net income of EUR59 million in line with the March 31, 2023 figure.

Revenues increase to EUR289 million, stable from EUR290 million in the first quarter a year earlier.

Only Stellantis does better, advancing 3.7 percent. Telecom Italia rounds out the podium and rises 2.7 percent.

Tenaris - in the green by 0.4 percent - reported that it has initiated a USD300 million tranche of its USD1.2 billion share buyback program.

Down goes Enel, which flexes 0.1 percent. The company reported that it ended the first quarter of the year with group net income of EUR1.93 billion from EUR1.03 billion and up 87 percent from March 31, 2023.

Revenues in the period stood at EUR19.43 billion from EUR26.41 billion in Q1 2023, marking a 26 percent decline.

On the Mid-Cap, Rai Way gives up 0.2 percent. The company reported Friday that it ended the first quarter with a net profit of EUR23.8 million from EUR23.5 million in the first quarter a year earlier.

Fincantieri is 1.0% in the red after reporting Friday that Vard, the group's Norwegian subsidiary, has signed a contract for the design and construction of two commissioning service operaion vessels with an international client in Taiwan.

Lottomatica Group -- in the red by 0.6 percent -- on Monday announced plans to issue and place bonds for a total aggregate amount of EUR900 million according to the following combination: fixed-rate senior secured bonds maturing in 2030 denominated and floating-rate senior secured bonds maturing in 2031.

Among small caps, Valsoia closed in the green by 0.2 percent. It reported Monday that first-quarter sales revenue stood at EUR24.7 million from EUR24.6 million as of March 31, 2023, up 0.7 percent.

RCS MediaGroup rises 0.2 percent. It reported Monday that it closed the first quarter with a loss of EUR1.8 million from EUR1.6 million as of March 31, 2023.

Revenues in the period stood at EUR168.9 million from EUR179.1 million in Q1 2023.

Immsi gives up 5.1 percent. It reported Monday that it ended the first quarter with net income before minorities of EUR8.4 million from EUR15.6 million as of March 31, 2023.

Consolidated revenues in the period were EUR434.9 million from EUR553.5 million last year.

Aeffe closes at breakeven. The company approved its management report as of March 31, closing the period with a net loss of EUR5.6 million compared to a loss of EUR300,000 in 2023 in the same period.

Banca Profilo drops 1.0 percent after it approved its interim report as of March 31, 2024, closing with a net profit of EUR2.8 million, down 55 percent from the first three months of last year.

Total customer deposits, including net fiduciary deposits, stood at EUR6.1 billion, up from EUR5.8 billion as of March 31, 2023.

Banca Sistema -- up 1.5 percent -- reported Friday that it reported a profit of EUR4.4 million in the first quarter of the year from EUR3.8 million as of March 31, 2023. Net income was EUR4.1 million from EUR3.7 million.

Dexelance, formerly Italian Design Brands, rises 0.9 percent after reporting Monday that it closed the first quarter of the year with a profit of EUR300,000 versus EUR1.4 million in the same period of 2023.

Adjusted net income rises to EUR3.3 million from EUR5.4 million as of March 31, 2023.

Among SMEs, Innovatec gives up 0.7 percent after announcing Monday that Pietro Colucci has resigned as CEO and board member. The decision, Colucci explained in a statement, "is in no way related to the progress of the Genovese investigation, for which I have not received any notice or charges to date," but is instead linked to "the wide prominence given to my position in the national press."

LU-VE - in the green by 0.7 percent - reported Monday that it made a profit of EUR11.0 million in the first quarter of the year, up from EUR6.8 million in the first three months of 2023.

Revenues amounted to EUR141.9 million, down 6.3 percent, compared to the first quarter of 2023 when they were EUR151.4 million.

CY4Gate - up 5.3% - reported Monday that it had signed a contract worth a total of about EUR1 million for cybersecurity solutions.

Eles gives up 7.7 percent after reporting that it ended 2023 with revenues of EUR32.8 million compared to EUR26.1 million in the previous year

In New York, the Dow is tied, the Nasdaq advances 0.2% and the S&P 500 is in fractional green.

Among currencies, the euro changes hands at USD1.0793 from USD1.0770 on Friday in closing European equities while the pound is worth USD1.2556 from USD1.2519 on Friday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude trades at USD83.25 per barrel from USD83.59 per barrel on Friday. Gold, on the other hand, trades at USD2,334.56 an ounce from USD2,372.35 an ounce on Friday night.

On Tuesday's macroeconomic calendar, the Canadian predictive index at 0100 CEST and, at 0800 CEST from the UK, the average wage index, the change in unemployment claims and the unemployment rate are expected.

At the same time, the German consumer price index will come out while half an hour later Swiss inflation is expected.

At 0900 CEST in the UK, labor productivity is expected and at 0900 CEST Spanish inflation while at 1100 CEST the German ZEW index of economic conditions and the Eurozone's ZEW sentiment of confidence.

In the afternoon, at 1430 CEST will come the producer price index from the US and at 1430 CEST Canadian wholesale sales.

At 1600 CEST Fed Chairman Powell's speech is expected.

In Piazza Affari, the quarterly results of several listed companies including Fincantieri, Italgas, Hera and Saras are expected.
