Ingenico Group (ENXTPA:ING) acquired 62.5% stake in Lyudia Inc. from Broadband Tower, Inc. (JASDAQ:3776) for approximately ¥630 million on April 26, 2016. Broadband Tower sold 0.03 million shares of Lyudia Inc at price per share of ¥20,000. In a related deal, Ingenico Group acquired additional 7.5% stake through a private placement in Lyudia Inc. Following the completion of the transaction, Ingenico Group will own 70% stake and Broadband Tower will retain a 30% stake in Lyudia. Lyudia Inc. reported total assets of ¥368 million, net liabilities of ¥142 million, revenues of ¥33 million, operating loss of ¥256 million and net loss of ¥253 million for the year ending June 30, 2015.

The IoT and AI Solutions segment is engaged in the provision of AI solutions utilizing natural language analysis technology, as well as IoT business and new business. The Media Solutions segment is engaged in the development of video distribution services for consumers, and Internet cinema using IoT Square. In addition, the segment is also engaged in the establishment of communication network for cable TV operators and program providers in Japan.
