Eucatex S.A. Indústria e Comércio completed the acquisition of Facilities and Equipment for the Manufacture of Thin Fiberboard Sheets of Duratex S.A..

Eucatex S.A. Indústria e Comércio (BOVESPA:EUCA4) made an offer to acquire Facilities and Equipment for the Manufacture of Thin Fiberboard Sheets of Duratex S.A. (BOVESPA:DTEX3) for BRL 60 million on January 31, 2018. As part of the consideration involving the exchange of assets, Duratex will receive from the Eucatex Group a farm called the “Vitoria Farm” located in the City of Capão Bonito. The transaction is subject to approval by Brazil's antitrust agency CADE (Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica). On August 31, 2018 Eucatex signed a definitive agreement to acquire Facilities and Equipment for the Manufacture of Thin Fiberboard Sheets of Duratex S.A. The transaction has been approved by the Brazilian Antitrust Authority (CADE) without restrictions. In the coming weeks, both companies will concentrate in the transition process of the operations.
