Japan Meat Co.,Ltd. (TSE:3539) agreed to acquire an additional 31.9% stake in AMS Corporation from Yasuhiko Iguchi and 2 individuals on April 17, 2017. A contract is concluded on April 24, 2017. As per terms, 233 shares will be acquired. Post completion, Japan Meat Co.,Ltd. will hold 72.9% stake and Yasuhiko Iguchi will hold 17.4% stake in AMS Corporation. Post completion, AMS Corporation will operate as a consolidated subsidiary of Japan Meat Co., Ltd. For the year ended July 31, 2016, AMS Corporation reported net assets of ¥376 million, total assets of ¥1.4 billion, sales of ¥2.3 billion, operating profit of ¥70 million and net income of ¥68 million. A corporate resolution for the deal is passed on April 17, 2017. The deal is expected to close on April 28, 2017.
