(Alliance News) - Lemon Sistemi Spa announced Tuesday the signing of a contract with Mondial Granit Spa, a Sicilian company that produces and markets marble, stone and granite present on the international market, for the construction of a new 1.2 MW photovoltaic plant section.

The value of the contract is EUR1.3 million and provides for the payment, in favor of Lemon Sistemi, of a down payment of 10% at the signing of this agreement, 20% at the end of the assembly of the support structure and the remaining balance of 70% at the end of the installation works, testing of the plant and sending to the operator of the conclusion of the works on the portal of E-Distribuzione and connection.

The contract calls for a new section of existing photovoltaic plant, to be built on Mondial Granit's historic production site in Chiaramonte Gulfi, in order to cover part of the facility's energy needs using the solar source.

The installation site is an agricultural land adjacent to the stone materials storage sheds.

Lemon Sistemi closed Tuesday in the green by 9.2 percent at EUR1.78 per share.
