Merida Industry Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021. For the first quarter, the company announced total revenue was TWD 8,017.528 million compared to TWD 5,255.621 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 344.928 million compared to TWD 357.209 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 1,153.418 million compared to TWD 470.431 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 3.86 compared to TWD 1.57 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 3.85 compared to TWD 1.57 a year ago.
MERIDA INDUSTRY CO., LTD. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of bicycles. The Company is also involved in the trading of electric bicycles, bicycle frames and related components. The Company operates through three segments. The Domestic segment is engaged in the manufacture and sales of products in Taiwan. The Asia segment is engaged in the manufacture and sales of products in China and Hong Kong. The Europe segment is engaged in the sales of products in Europe.
