On Friday, Miliboo announced a return to profitability in the second half of the year, thanks in particular to tight control of its expenses.

The specialist in the design and sale of designer furniture on the Internet has posted a positive EBITDA of 700,000 euros for the second half of its 2022/2023 financial year.

The group claims to have been able to adapt to inflationary pressures, notably on its purchasing costs, and to have shown responsiveness by adjusting its commercial policy and controlling all its expenses, while gaining market share.

This performance thus enables it to limit its annual operating loss (EBITDA) to -900.000 euros, after a shortfall of 1.6 million euros in the first half of the year.

Annual sales were up 8% to 42.3 million euros, despite a market that is considered to be unfavorable for household consumption.

In a "still complex" economic climate, Miliboo has indicated that it intends to pursue its profitable growth trajectory in 2023-24, which began in the second half of 2022-23.

The Group says it is aiming for moderate but qualitative growth, with priority still given to the sustainable restoration of gross margin and cost control.

On the Paris Bourse, the share gained over 3% following this publication.
