ONTSU Co.,Ltd. (TSE:7647) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 3,650,000 shares, representing 1.76% of its share capital (excluding treasury shares), for ¥100 million. The purpose of the program is to improve shareholder returns by implementing flexible capital policies in response to changes in the business environment and improving capital efficiency.
The program will run until March 22, 2024. As of December 31, 2023, the company had 206,842,235 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 8,410 shares in treasury.
Ontsu Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the retail of food and sundry goods. The Company operates through four business segments. The Food and Sundries Setailing segment is engaged in the operation of 100-yen stores such as FLET'S and 100-yen consulates, operation of franchise chains, and plan, import, and sale of general merchandise for 100-yen stores. The Karaoke segment is engaged in the sale and lease of karaoke equipment and related products.
