Stef, a specialist in cold logistics, announced on Wednesday that it had taken delivery of a battery-powered electric vehicle from Swedish truck manufacturer Scania.

This truck, the first 100% electric forwarder acquired by the group, has been taken delivery of by teams at the Metz site, who plan to test it in two use cases, namely pick-up and distribution.

In a press release, the provider of transport and logistics services dedicated to food products points out that the vehicle's autonomy played an important role in the acquisition, bearing in mind that cold must be generated from the truck's batteries.

Stef points out that since 2021 it has been committed to an energy transition process formalized by its 'Moving Green' climate approach, which aims to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of its vehicles by 30% by 2030.

It also plans to power its buildings with 100% low-carbon energy by 2025.
