TOVIS Co.,Ltd (KOSDAQ:A051360) signed a contract to acquire an additional stake in Seil Hi-Tec Co.,Ltd. for KRW 20.1 billion on November 30, 2021. As part of the transaction, TOVIS will acquire 1,132,300 shares of Seil Hi-Tec and will hold 1,737,740 shares post acquisition. Park Kwang-min hold 34.01% stake in Seil Hi-Tec. In 2020, Seil Hi-Tec reported total assets of KRW 26.6 billion, total equity of KRW 24.1 billion, sale of KRW 16.8 billion and Net income of KRW 1.3 billion. The transaction is expected to complete on December 27, 2021.
TOVIS Co.,LTD is a Korea-based Company mainly engaged in the manufacture of thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) modules. The Company provides three categories of products: TFT-LCD modules, which are used in cell phones, portable multimedia players (PMPs), digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) televisions (TVs), digital cameras and others; industrial monitors, which are used in casino gaming monitors, public information displays, medical equipment and others, and touch panels, which are used for mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), navigations and others. It distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets. On February 26, 2013, the Company merged with HOYAHTECH CO. LTD., a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the development, manufacturing and sales of touch panel and tempered glass.
