LEATEC Fine Ceramics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 271.948 million compared to TWD 264.936 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 27.451 million compared to TWD 23.010 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 2.277 million compared to TWD 10.256 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.02 compared to TWD 0.12 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was TWD 804.994 million compared to TWD 807.309 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 51.590 million compared to TWD 72.441 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 14.393 million compared to net income of TWD 28.768 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.13 compared to basic earnings per share of TWD 0.34 a year ago. Diluted loss per share was TWD 0.13 compared to diluted earnings per share of TWD 0.31 a year ago.
Leatec Fine Ceramics Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the design, manufacture, processing and trading of alumina ceramic substrates. The primary products include ceramic substrates for chip exclusion, ceramic substrates for chip resistors, ceramic substrates for hybrid integrated circuits, laser resistors, polished substrates, solar junction boxes, solar connectors, among others. The Company operates through two business segments. The Precision Ceramics segment is principally engaged in the production and sale of ceramic substrates.
