On Friday, Metavisio said it was expecting a "buoyant" second half of the year, after posting a sharp drop in sales for the first six months of the year.

The French laptop manufacturer posted first-half sales of 6.1 million euros, compared with 21.1 million euros for the same period in 2022.

The company explains this downturn by the slump in the global computer market and the postponement of several "significant" orders to the third quarter.

Metavisio reports 10.6 million euros in firm orders to be delivered in August and September, in addition to the 785,000 euros already received in July, bringing the total to 11.4 million euros.

The second half of the year therefore promises to be buoyant, with a significant increase in orders for Metavisio, thanks to its capacity for innovation and continued international development with new customers", explains the company.

As a sign of his confidence in the company, Chairman and founder Stephan Français has decided to personally strengthen his position in the company's capital with an investment of one million euros.

At the same time, Metavisio has signed an agreement with a French financing company for recurrent financing of its accounts payable and receivable up to three million euros (every 30 days or 60 days).

This financing possibility can be revised upwards every three months, says the group in a press release.

Following all these announcements, the share price rose by over 8% in early trading on Friday morning, making it one of the biggest gains on the Paris Bourse.
