OrganoClick's biobased and biodegradable binder, OC-BioBinder™? Lily has been certified by Austrian test institute TUV as home compostable when used in cellulosic nonwoven materials. A home compostability certificate, allows the final material to be composted in a normal household compost and is the hardest compost certification that can be obtained.

The home compost certificate is the most sought-after for consumer brands, marketing consumer products such as wipes, napkins, and hygiene products. In order to receive a TUV OK Home Compost certificate, a number of accredited tests need to be passed, including disintegration of the material, biodegradability in home compost conditions, as well as eco-toxicity tests. The complete certification process takes more than a year, if all tests are passed successfully.

OrganoClick's certificate allows nonwoven producers to add up to 35 % of OC-BioBinder Lily to nonwovens based on cellulosic fibers.
