The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of joint control of Phoenix Energy Holdings and its UK subsidiaries by CK Infrastructure Holdings (CKI) of Bermuda and CK Asset Holdings (CKA) of the Cayman Islands.

The transaction mainly concerns the gas distribution sector.

The Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area.
